the friendship route sticker allows vehicles to pass through the special “friendship route” which is a network of interconnected roads within the various villages of las pinas.

you can get all the way from the madrigal business park (from the daang hari area) to philam village (near starmall) without having to pass by alabang zapote road, which is very convenient for avoiding traffic.

right now, you can also get in the las pinas gates of bf (southland and standard) with the friendship route sticker.

there are also lots of other shortcuts and routes connecting sucat road, quirino avenue, and lots of other areas in cavite, muntinlupa, las pinas, and paranaque.

Hi Betty! :) Quite ironic–for mortgaged vehicles… that they are asking for the original copy of the CR …the rule of thumb is that this is usually still in Bank’s custody!?! hehehe

Yeah, likewise for some company owned cars, since some companies make it a policy not to release the OR and CR to the employees. In any case, you can try to bring just photocopies and see if they’ll allow it. If it’s possible to borrow the original from the bank / company, so much the better, they’ll process it without fuss. You’ll definitely need the certificate though.

Anyway, got our stickers na… went there Friday afternoon and they’d already closed up shop, so came back Saturday morning. We arrived at 8, thinking we were early, but we were already number 648! :p We had a leisurely breakfast at Figaro muna while waiting. :)

They were pretty fast, though, getting through 50 numbers every half hour, sometimes faster.

I want to get a sticker unfortunately I’m not from Las Pinas. My husband is though and he has his driver’s license to prove it. Can he get a sticker for my company car?

Masyado silang mahigpit sa pag-issue ng friendship sticker. talagang kailangan dala mo lahat ng requirement. For company issued vehicles, bring the original and photocopy of the OR / CR, a certification from your company, and a valid ID showing the holder’s address to be in Las Piñas City. pag di mo dala lahat ng requirement nila sayang lang pagpunta mo kasi papabalikin ka nalang nila kung di complete yung mga documents mo.

You can try to apply anyway, but be prepared to wait and to use all your charm to convince them to give it to you. :) To be sure, bring your marriage certificate na rin, especially if the company car is assigned to you, as it’s your husband who’s from Las Pinas. Mas maganda ang chances nyo if the company car is assigned to your husband. Good luck! :)

nakakuha din, medyo mahaba ang pila pero ang bilis lang, mortgaged din car namin pero pakita lang yung papers naka-address sa las piñas & give them copies. hinaharang na sa ibang village yung walang 07 stickers.

I can only say one thing…sayang. I wish I knew your website before so I would have learned of this. I need the sticker really bad since we live at BF Almanza BUT I missed their release dates. The Mayor’s office said they are not releasing anymore.

once they release the stickers, it usually takes another 3 years for them to release a new batch. i really don’t what provisions they’ve made for new cars. most people use a sticker shield or laminate and stick the sticker on that instead, just so they can take their sticker with them if they need to transfer it to a new car or sell an old one.

I got a sticker from my friend. What is the route from Philam to Moonwalk? Is it too much if I ask from the route/map, I am apprehensive of taking the short cut baka maligaw ako pero the Alabang-Zapote is super traffic especially in the morning. Help?

We’ll try to come up with lots of route maps for the different areas in the South… we’ll let you know when we have them ready.

In the meantime, to get from Philam to Moonwalk, do the following:
From Alabang Zapote Road,
take C.V.Starr Avenue (that’s the road with the main gate of Philam, which passes by the side of Star Mall);
right after the BF Resort guardhouse, turn left onto Gloria Diaz (this is a major intersection, although there’s a gate to the right);
keep following Gloria Diaz until you reach the intersection with B.F. Resort Avenue (this is the intersection with China Bank, Magic Wand, and Quickly at the corner. There’s also a Mocha Blends and a 3M right beside China Bank);
turn right onto B.F. Resort Avenue, pass Elizabeth Seton on your right;
turn left at the next intersection, which is Abel Nosce St. (this road is a bit narrower than the usual main roads; you’ll see a Central BBQ Boy near the corner);
go straight on Abel Nosce until the end of the road, then turn left. The guardhouse of Moonwalk will be on this street, which is Apollo III.

Yes, the idea behind the Friendship Route is really helpful to residents.

I don’t know what the official line is from the local government, but the way I see it, the main point is really to decongest traffic on the main road (Alabang Zapote). Since the villages are positioned next to each other, most have secondary gates that lead to neighboring subdivisions (for others, it’s part of their right of way). Since residents can make their way from Alabang to Zapote without passing through the main road, the traffic is eased considerably. There’s also the added attraction of not being subject to color coding when you’re within the villages.

Some villages are questioning the implementation of the friendship route because it means more traffic on their streets and more outsiders coming in, hence increasing the potential for crime. I can understand the concern, but overall I think the friendship route is still more helpful. The villages (with the help of the local government) just need to be more vigilant in terms of security as a result.

Is there a map available? I been trying to navigate the friendship route to/from daang hari to/from BF Resort/Casimiro during Fridays to avoid color coding but I get lost everytime. A map would be great, I obviously can’t memorize all the roads. Thanks for your help.

Also, I normally take the BF Homes friendship route from Southville gate to Alabang-Zapote gate going to Alabang….this considerably lessened my travel time from 45 mins (during very good days though I remember spending 2 hrs travel time on worst days) to just 20 to 30 mins….saves on time and gas…

It’s been 3 years already, will they be releasing a new batch of friendship route stickers again? Got any ideas as to when that may be?

City Information Officer�s Office at 874-1440, I have alled this number just this morning, 2007 sticker is still valid. Timing of releasing of new batch of stickers is still (TBA) to-be-announced. Initial target date of issuance is right after 2010 eletion.
