Experience Negrense Food in the Indie Film Namets!

Namets!

Cinemalaya presents Namets!, a a full-length feature film directed by Jay Abello and produced by Bonfire Productions and 7th Films. Namets! follows the ongoing flirtation between Jacko and Cassie, two Negrenses who grew up in Bacolod City, and whose lives revolve around food. Namets! is a colorful celebration of food as well as love, and the love of food above all, which is central to being Negrense, and being Filipino. The film stars Christian Vazquez, Angel Jacob, and Peque Gallaga, and was shot entirely on location in the Philippine province of Negros Occidental.

The Namets! premiere will be held at the CCP Little Theater on Sunday, July 13, at 3:30PM. Subsequent screenings during the Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival at the CCP will be at the following times and venues: July 15, Tuesday, 6:15PM, Tanghalang Huseng Batute; July 16, Wednesday, 9:00PM, CCP Main Theater; July 18, Friday, 6:15PM, CCP Main Theater, July 18, Friday, 6:15PM, MKP Hall; and July 19, Saturday, 12:45PM, MKP Hall. Tickets are priced at P100 each (moviegoers may wish to attend the July 16 and 18 screenings as these will be in the Main Theater). There will also be a screening on July 30, Wednesday, 7:00PM at the Cine Adarna in UP Diliman, Quezon City.

    very fun movie! nakakagutom… nagcrave tuloy ako ng inasal and na miss ko ang bacolod. go watch it, may screenings pa… at meron pa sa up!
