Oh JOY!!! I have internet access at home again!
After more than two months of no DSL, almost a month of no landline connection, and more than a month of customer-service-hotline-tag with poor powerless technical support people, I finally have internet at home again. Does this mean I will be seeing less of Starbucks Madrigal? }:-)
Thanks to: Shep Lara for sending the email that I’m convinced led them to finally send over somebody to check the line; the one-man-subcon-team who brought my phone back to life (never has a dial tone sounded so sweet); Nyco from 171 for writing the reports to allow adjustment of charges to my bill (and who, by taking more than thirty minutees to prepare the reports, gave me the time to write my own complaint letter, which in turn led to the proper scheduling of my DSL repair); Mr. Ramirez (that’s what his shirt said) for giving me a new modem (ang kulit ng technical support, sinabi nang tingin ko modem lang ang problema e); my sister, Starbucks Madrigal, BoNa Coffee Co., and McDonald’s Northgate for giving me Smart Bro / free wifi access to tide me over; Steph for listening to my PLDT gripes; and Aweng for staying up with me while I posted Southbound stuff in all those cafes. No thanks to PLDT wahahaha.
Southbound folks, I’m *really* back now! :D

congrats! you are part of the minority who have successfully “pursuaded” PLDT to do something about the internet thing. We, on the other hand, have little patience with their call center agents. Good thing my brother is a prodigy with techie stuffs..
Customer service for all the communication companies at times is not great. But at least we have other alternatives now.
